Reading Alternative Provision (RAP) is our specialist education programme supporting children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, social, medical or additional learning needs.
Working in partnership with schools, local authorities and other professionals, we provide bespoke education packages that focus on improving attendance, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, engagement with learning and successful reintegration into education where appropriate.
Our provision is centred around small group teaching, relationship-based practice and therapeutic support, ensuring every young person receives an individual programme tailored to their needs. Alongside education, young people develop confidence, resilience, communication skills and positive relationships through practical learning, enrichment activities and mentoring.
